Oakwood Baptist Church Visiting Arequipa

Pastor Brent Armstrong and 11 other men from his church are here visiting Arequipa. They have come to build a roof on a church. They arrived Friday morning and by Friday afternoon they already where on the site working and getting things going.

This morning they were able to visit Faith Baptist Church and tonight Bro. Armstrong preached at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Tomorrow morning they will again be off to work at the church where Pastor Daniel Bustinza is pastoring.

We are so thankful to have these men here, they are dfinitely a blessing and are VERY hard workers.

Please pray that everything will continue to go well and that the job can be done by friday when they leave.

Urgent Prayer Request…

We want to ask you to pray for Faith Baptist Church. Last night after the service part of the roof from the church fell, thank God nobody got hurt. At the moment, we can not use the building because of the condition it is in. Tonight, we had a meeting with the men and we all agreed that we are going to be looking for another place to have services in until the roof can be fixed.

Please pray that the Lord will provide the needs to get it fixed quickly and also that He will help us find a place quickly to use until then.

The Stover Family

Saturday, we had the privilege of being with the Stover Family on their son Josiah´s birthday.  We had a great time of fellowship along with The Masters Family and The Smith Family.

The Stovers are doing a wonderful job.  They are studying Spanish at the time in the language school here.  It is encouraging to see people have such a good attitude towards the country, language, culture, etc.  Please pray for them as they try to finish language school as soon as possible to get started in the different ministries here in Arequipa.

This Past Month

This past month things have been a little crazy but like always the Lord keeps blessing us and watching over us.

The second group we had come down was from Dalton, GA. from Whitfield Baptist Church.  It was a blessing to have them here.  We were able to see some friends that we had not seen in a long time and spend a good time with them.

Our children are getting bigger and bigger.  Benjamin is in first grade and is doing great.  He has learned how to read and write in Spanish.  Everywhere we go he has to read every sign we pass to show everyone he can read.  It is amazing how time flies.

I will be returning to the States tomorrow for 2 weeks.  I have to return because of my paperwork.  Please keep me in your prayers as I travel and while I am away from my family.

Thanks for keeping up with us and for all you prayers and support.
