Pray for our Daughter Lelia…

We want to ask you to please be in prayer for Lelia. This morning she went to my mom’s house and while there without anyone seeing she took 2 or 3 of my mom’s sleeping pills.

After a while she started acting a little weird, all drugged up and drunk, we couldn’t figure out why she was acting like that. So my wife called her dad, Bro. Austin, and asked what he thought it could be, since he is always our family doctor. We then called our close friend doctor Benavente and he told us to take her immediately to the hospital. While waiting on the taxi to take us we found the pills out and asked her if she had taken them and she said yes.

We rushed to the hospital and they put a long thin tube down her nose and drained everything out of her stomach. Of course, she she screamed and cried like crazy and broke our hearts. After all that fun, the pediatrician saw her and said she could go home but had to stay awake for 2 more hours and drink a LOT of liquid and we are supposed to call him back at 5 to inform him how she is doing.

Thank God she is doing better, she is still a little drunk and can’t walk well but she is acting better. We will inform you on how everything keeps going.

Thanks for all your love and prayers.

  • Dear Brother & Sister Soncco,

Praise the Lord you noticed the bottle of pills and were able to get her to hospital for care. I can relate to Lelia’s dislike for stomach pumping. When I was a young child I opened my mom’s pill bottle, poured the pills behind her dresser, and then walked into the room she was in and held up the empty bottle rubbing my belly and said “yum, yum). I wound up at the hospital and had my stomach pumped - needless to say whem Mom found the pills sometime later she was not very happy with me!

Julio, Joy, you have a beautiful family and I count it a joy, honor, and privilege to know your family. I am so thankful Lelia is going to be ok. God is soooooo Good!

I pray for you daily and long for day I can visit you again in Peru!
