We had the honor the have Chris back visiting for a couple of days. It was nice to have him stay at our house and be able to spend some time with him. Faith Baptist Church enjoyed having him at church with us yesterday morning, getting to hear him preach the Word and fellowship with everyone.
We can´t wait to have him and his family back with us, working in the ministries etc. We definitely need them. It is not the same without them.
Please pray that the Lord will continue to raise up the support necessary for the Bible College and that He will continue to open the doors so that the Bible College may continue to work and grow even more.

Yesterday, a lady from Hunter Baptist Church, passed away. She was a special lady to our family. She was basically my wife´s grandmother. When my wife was a child she was at her house all the time and called her granny. She was 95 years old. She went to take a nap yesterday and just didn´t wake up.
Today was the funeral, it is always sad to see someone you love go, but it is neat to know that we will get to see her again and that she is way better off right now with the Lord.
She was the grandmother, aunt, etc to many pastors and pastors wives. Pray for all the family members that they may have peave and calm during this time.

My mother works at a restaurant as the cashier, but she also helps doing whatever is needed when it is full and everyone is going crazy. The other day she had gone into the kitchen and when coming out she slid on a small rug that was put on the slippery floor they have and she fell on her hand.
She jumped up quickly because of the embarrassement of everyone seeing her, went back into the kitchen and when she saw her hand ,her wrist was turned in the opposite direction. She pulled it back into place by herself, which was a little dumb in my opinion, plus painful.
She rushed to the hospita had a x-ray done and her wrist was broken. The doctor later on that day saw her, gave her a shot in the wrist of anesthesia and then put the bone back into place and then put a cast on.
Please pray that she will be able to recover soon and get back to normal.

I wanted to share with everyone some great news. The other day, my brother in law, David Gardner, called my wife and me to let us know that he and his wife, Katie, are expecting their first child. They are just now going to have an appointment with the doctor and so forth.
Pray that the Lord will bless them in every way. That Katie and the baby will be strong and healthy. We know it is going to be a little hard on Katie specially traveling and everything these first few months. Pray that David will have the patience needed during these 9 month, we men know how pregnant women can get. I am just kidding, my wife is going to kill me when she reads this probably.
Pray that David and Katie will be able to raise their support quickly so they can get here and get started in the ministries here, we surely could use their help.

Today, we had to say good bye to the Staley family. They have been missionaries here in Arequipa for 9 years now. They are going back to the States now, they feel that the Lord is calling them back to work in a church back in the U.S.
Please pray for the Staley family, they have been a huge blessing here in Peru to so many people. Pray that the Lord will open doors for them and that eveything will go great for them and their family.
It was hard to see them go, pray that the people here will understand their leaving and will continue to serve the Lord just has before or even better.

I would like to take a moment to say Happy Mother´s Day to all the mothers out there. I thank the Lord for my mother, she was the mom and dad in our house and did so much to give us everything we needed. I am so thankful for my wife, who is a wonderful mother to our 2 beautiful children, she loves and takes care of them like no other. I also thank the Lord for my mother in law, for raising such a wonderful daughter, for being so sweet and accepting me as a son and being such a good example and helping me in every way possible.
God is so good.

Yesterday morning, Lelia had was put under general anesthesia to be able to work on her mouth (teeth). She had a dead nerve caused from the fall she had over a year ago. After an hours work they were done and she started to come through. She is now on an antibiotic and is doing fine.
Once done at the doctor´s office yesterday we rushed to our son, Benjamin´s school for an activity they had for Mother´s Day. We barely made it, as we walked in the door Benjamin was standing on the platform about to sing his special with his class. We were glad we were able to make it in time to hear him sing all dressed up and handsome.
We are so thankful for our children, they are definitely a blessing from the Lord. Pray that they will grow up to do great things for the Lord and pray that we may be the parents we are supposed to be.

Today, we had the honor of having Pastor Richard Roca and his family over to our house to eat lunch. We had a great time just talking and sharing all the blessings the Lord as poured over our families.
Please pray for his ministry, he is Pastor of ¨Paucarpata¨ Baptist Church, there are about 45 - 50 people attending and the Lord is blessing in mighty ways. Also, pray for his wife, she is 5 months pregnant and was in the hospital last week with kidney problems.
Pray that the Lord will continue to raise up pastors and leaders to be able to spread the Word around the world for His honor and glory.
